The Animated Series' Showrunner Is Aware of Fans' Season 2 Predictions — And She Has Good News

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel arrives on Prime Video this week, and audience theories has been widespread.

The first season presents a diverse group of characters living within Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds accompanied by musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and establishes tense rivalries and emotional bonds that fuel audience devotion.

The community's expectations for season 2 differ greatly, but certain themes emerge over and over: Will Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the binding agreement affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with fan service as the main goal," the showrunner commented earlier this year. "However I feel like me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just inherently. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by the production companies, which produce the series.

That might mean fans have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how quickly season 2 progresses, and how much of what they're waiting for unfolds now.

"I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some incredible reveals, some really cool origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — particularly in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've seen a couple people make a prediction grid about the new season," she mentions. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've already completed a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
