Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's 21 titles have been achieved on hardcourt
A resurgent Medvedev claimed his initial title for 882 days with victory over opponent Moutet in the competition title decider.
The athlete, a former top-ranked player, has had a difficult year, achieving just a single victory at the big events and suffering a setback at the New York tournament.
His inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and issues with his serving in especial - caused him exiting of the world's top 10 and ultimately splitting with long-term trainer his previous coach.
Currently training with Johansson and Goetzke, he has consistently progressed in the last few weeks - culminating in a tightly fought three-set triumph over Frenchman Moutet.
It is Medvedev's initial championship after the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hardcourt after spring of the previous year.
Victory also signifies Medvedev has secured twenty-one titles at twenty-one various competitions.
"It's the first time I'm at a competition with my both daughters simultaneously, so to win a trophy is really nice," said tennis professional the champion.
"This title is in tribute of my child Victoria, because the first title I won when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had been defeated in his past six title deciders, including in the German tournament earlier this year.
His retrieving approach and recurring outbursts on the playing surface had led commentators to doubt if his skill to perform at the highest level was finished.
But the athlete has implemented adjustments in the past month, attempting to approach the net and perform assertively, reinforced by an enhanced service.
He came back from a deficit in the first set against the challenging Moutet, winning 4 of the last five games to gain the advantage.
The pair traded break points in the middle set before Moutet, bidding for his maiden ATP Tour victory, gained dominance to force a decider.
He saved 4 early-game opportunities in a close deciding set before the champion secured a break to 15 to secure the win.
Appropriately, Medvedev earned victory with a rally at the net area, with his opponent incapable to manage a volley after a lengthy match.
