Kane achieves his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in returning to the Premier League has lessened and he is open to negotiate a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The star striker is at the moment halfway through the four-year deal he agreed to when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.
The experienced forward has accumulated an remarkable 103 goals in 106 matches for the German side, contributing them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which represented the initial important honor of his illustrious career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has previously expressed that he would be pleased to see Kane go back to England, where he needs 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring record of 260.
However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as enthusiastic about going back home as he previously was, and would certainly think about extending his time in Bavaria.
"In terms of staying longer, I could certainly see that," he commented.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be open to talk and have an honest conversation.
"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so progresses and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different chances and different moments happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top scorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the fastest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five divisions, securing the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had avoided him until he lifted the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would feel after breaking his trophy wait, but now thinks it has made him eager for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
